FFA provides the following services to
Members:
1.
Information Centre
Members have access to forage information through:
- GrassRoots News and Views, the FFA
newsletter published quarterly to keep producers up-to-date on
activities of the Association and to report on projects, extension
work, and new innovations and discoveries in the industry
- "For Members Only" News
Bulletins
- Producer driven forage research
- Staff agronomist available to
assist member producers with forage related issues
2.
Participation Opportunities
Projects and extension work undertaken by the association are governed
by the Board of Directors.
- Producers are invited to provide
direction and input into research being done by FFA.
- Producers may have research on
their specific forage problems done on their own land.
3.
Annual General Meetings\Seminars.
Annual meetings and seminars bring together forage producers to
discuss the industry and maintain contact with their colleagues across
the Foothills area. These important events provide a common forum
where producers can meet to share and exchange information.
4.
Industry Related Associations
Foothills Forage Co-op Association maintains membership in and has
representation on the Alberta Forage Council and the Canadian Forage
Council. FFA also enjoys the participation of Affiliate Members, such
as fertilizer or seed companies, who provide the association with
up-to-date information on new developments in their area of expertise,
as well as providing partnering funds and sponsorship for some
projects.
5.
Association Office.
Foothills Forage Association maintains an established office
through which its day-to-day association business activities are
administered by the Executive Director. Members are invited to visit
the office -- your concerns, ideas and suggestions are welcome.
